Cutting Edge Dental Care in Henderson, NV

At Joshua M. Ignatowicz DMD & Associates, our goal is to prevent dental problems before they occur. Unfortunately, this is not always possible due to genetics, poor oral hygiene, infrequent checkups, and other risk factors. This is why we also specialize in restorative dentistry. Our restorative services are designed to improve the function and aesthetics of your smile, as well as your overall oral health.

our technology

Below outlines some of the most notable dental technology we use when facilitating care for our patients:

High Definition Intraoral Camera. With a high-resolution camera, LED lighting and a head that swivels to look into the deepest cracks and crannies, intraoral cameras give us the most detailed picture of your mouth, teeth and gums. And since the images from the camera are displayed real-time on a screen while we work, we can point out any issues we see and discuss them with you right then.

Cone Beam CT Scan. A cone beam CT scan is a diagnostic tool that produces a 3D representation of your teeth, gums, nerve pathways, and underlying bone structure within a single image. We typically utilize cone beam CT scans when a regular x-ray is not enough. Cone beam CT scans are ideal for surgical planning, the diagnosis of TMJ disorders and tumors, and the evaluation of bone structure and tooth orientation.

Intraoral X-Ray. Our dentists use two types of digital dental radiographs - intraoral (inside) and extraoral (outside) your mouth - to conduct dental examinations. Intraoral radiographs assist our dentists in checking for cavities and monitoring the status of your developing teeth.

Digital Panoramic X-Ray. A panoramic dental x-ray provides a single image of the entire mouth, including the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joint (TMJ), the nasal area and sinuses. This flat representation of a curved structure makes it easier for us to analyze the mouth as a whole, and more comfortable for you to boot. Additionally, digital x-rays uses up to 85% less radition as traditional x-rays, provides higher quality imaging, and is also more environmentally friendly!

3D Imaging. 3D imaging gives Joshua M. Ignatowicz, DMD, DICOI a more comprehensive overview of your teeth and gum tissues. This allows us to better diagnose any potential problems and determine the next step in an effective treatment plan. We may utilize 3D imaging for cosmetic or restorative purposes, orthodontic treatment, and dental implants.

3-D Printing. Our office is equipped with state-of-the-art 3D printing technology. This technology is used to create custom surgical guides and clear aligner trays in-house, alleviating the long wait time if a patient loses a tray or if there is an alternation needed to the aligner therapy treatment.

Computer-Guided Surgery Software. Top dentists use this technology to reverse-engineer dental implant surgery. The software uses images from a patients Cone beam CT to show the anatomy of the bone, soft tissue, vital structures, etc., allowing the dentist to visualize and plan treatment with exact positioning prior to surgery. They can then create surgical guides to ensure precise placement.

PRP Centrifuge Machine. PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is a substance produced from a patient’s own blood that isolates and concentrates the plasma. When injected, PRP will begin creating new, healthy cells that help promote fast and effective healing. Results have proven so effective, PRP therapy is becoming the standard of care in dentistry for procedures such as tooth extraction, dental implants, and sinus/ridge augmentation.

Laser Treatment. Lasers act as a cutting instrument, vaporizing the tissue it comes into contact with. They can be used for gum disease, tooth decay, lesion removal, biopsies and even teeth whitening. They cause less pain and anxiety for most patients, minimize bleeding and even help preserve healthy teeth.

Soft Tissue Laser. Soft Tissue Lasers, also called Dental Diode Lasers, are a unique tool for cutting and sculpting oral soft tissue such as the gums, cheek and lips. Capable of creating precise incisions while eliminating bleeding, these tools can help reduce healing time for patients.

Light Therapy. Red light technology uses light energy to trigger response from the body at a cellular level. It is used to reduce pain, heal inflammation, speed up recovery, increase blood circulation, and stimulate gum tissue and bone growth. This can be beneficial for treatments such as dental implants, bone and tissue grafts, extractions, TMJ/TMD pain, and many more.
